Cahuita is a small beach town on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. It's a close community that's rich in history and has something to offer for everyone. There is a lot to do such as surfing, fishing, snorkeling, jungle adventures and much more!
Our company was established in 2014 to become Cahuita's #1 source for surf. We cater to all skill levels and abilities. The instructors are known for their vast knowledge of the sport as well as their patience and skills in teaching. Cahuita Experience is a highly sought after surf school for many large groups to learn to surf and have fun doing it!
Since then we have quickly expanded into ecotourism from our passion for nature and preserving it for years to come. One of our newest offerings is the Sloth Tour. This was an important addition to our tours because we want to help people have safe and proper encounters with sloths all while educating them on the importance of their environment and protecting it. All of our guides are certified experts and have all grown up locally learning about the flora and fauna.

Bio: Rebecca
Billy, originally from England, has called Cahuita home since he was two years old. Growing up in this vibrant beach town sparked his lifelong passion for surfing, which he eagerly shares with others keen to catch their first wave. Deeply connected to the surrounding environment, Billy is committed to learning and promoting the preservation of the Caribbean's rich natural beauty.
In 2014, Billy founded Cahuita Experience Surf School with humble beginnings, offering surf lessons right on the beach. Since then, the school has organically grown to offer more than 10 activities, showcasing the diverse wonders of the area. The Cahuita Experience team comprises passionate local guides renowned for their expertise in local flora and fauna, sharing their knowledge with visitors from across the globe.
Billy's ultimate goal is to provide an unparalleled experience of Cahuita, ensuring every visitor leaves with cherished memories that last a lifetime.
Rebecca, a native Canadian, first visited Costa Rica to perform hoop dancing at events. It was during one of these trips that she met Billy, and their connection led to a long-distance relationship until she permanently moved to Cahuita in 2020. Since then, she has played a pivotal role in enriching the services offered, and continuously striving to enhance the client experience.
Rebecca takes charge of everything from the website and emails to social media and bookings, ensuring guests are informed and excited about their upcoming visits. Inspired by Cahuita's enchanting environment, Rebecca has transformed her passion for hoop dancing into organizing a luxurious hula hoop retreat. Held at an eco-retreat center in Cahuita (@oasishoopretreat), this event attracts 50 hoopers from around the world.
Her dedication to both Cahuita Experience and the local community reflects her commitment to creating memorable and enriching experiences for visitors.
